Use search_journals to find journals by name/ISSN/publisher, get_journal for one profile, compare_journals for a side-by-side, and check_citations to verify a reference list. All data comes from open academic databases and every signal links back to its source.\n\nWHAT YOU GET: journal identity, publisher, indexing status (Web of Science, Scopus, DOAJ), SJR quartile and scope are always returned. Trust Score, Journal Impact Factor, APC amount, acceptance rate and measured submission-to-publication time are returned only to an identified caller, and arrive as null otherwise.\n\nREADING NULLS: do not infer this from the null itself. A gated response carries a \"withheld\" list naming the fields that HELD a value and were blanked. A field in that list needs a key: say so. A null field NOT in that list is null for everyone, key or not, and you must say PubScope holds no value for it — never suggest a key would reveal it. Most nulls are this second kind: acceptance rate exists for under 2% of journals, APC for 13%, impact factor and measured publication time for about 15%, because most large publishers deposit no submission dates. When \"gated\" is absent the caller is already identified and every null is genuine. Never guess.",
